Sheer Tunic Dilemma

I purchased this sheer tunic at Forever XXI the other day. It was in the sale items marked down to $11.99. I only found it in an extra large, but I bought it anyways thinking I could do something with it. Still not quite sure how I'd wear it so I was playing around with different ways.
With leggings and pumps or flats? Or with a tank dress and boots? Hmmm, decisions.

Tunic ($11.99) on clearance from Forever XXI, Clutch ($2) on clearance from Icing during one of their 5 for $10 deal days, Boots (XXX- the one thing I have ever splurged on) from Aldo

Mint Green & Sparrows

It's official. I'm a bad blogger. My last post about trying to blog more was written over 5 months ago. SAD. I must work on this... I think I'll start with an outfit post because I was bored and decided to take pictures of myself and the things that I decided to wear :)
Top ($12) & Purse ($12) from JCP, Jeans ($10.80) from Forever XXI, Shoes ($9) & Sunglasses ($10) from Ross

Top It Off

That was my attempt at a clever title. Yeah, didn't work. Anyways, I'm a big fan of hats: fedoras, floppy hats, beanies, berets, trapper hats, newsboys.. I love them, especially when I'm too lazy to comb my hair which I am guilty of about 50 percent of the time. While browsing H&M a few days ago, I hit the cold weather hat jackpot because most of them were ON SALE. I wanted to come home with a whole shopping bag full of them, but since I already did some damage at the shops I visited previous to H&M, I opted to only pick up two.

Each hat cost ONE whole dollar, ya'll. I am a happy camper.

Rubber Wedge Booties

I was at an H&M today when I saw this pair of shoes. Wedge booties with a rubber heel, on sale for $10. What a steal! Im not sure what the upper is made out of, but it seems like it would repel water easily. I was excited about wearing them on a rainy day instead of the usual rain boots, which I can never walk in without looking awkward.

It wasn't raining when I drove to the mall, but it was POURING as I was leaving. First rain of the season where I live. Not only did I get a good deal on some shoes, but it was perfect timing. I wore my new shoes out, and my feet didn't get wet :)

Find any good deals lately?

Christmas Stock Pile

I love the weeks following Christmas because everything is marked down like crazy! This is when it's time to stock up for next Christmas, people! I especially love purchasing gift wrap at this time because $1 gift bags, tissue paper, boxes, ribbons, and wrapping paper add up! At my local Target, everything Christmas/Holiday related is currently 90% off or more so I made sure I took advantage of it! Here's some of what I came home with:

Tree Topper $1.50, Wreath $2, Wrapping Paper $0.50 each, Gift Bags $0.10 each, T-Shirts $0.99 each

AMAZING!

A Thrifting We Will Go

My Sundays usually consist of cleaning, catching up on dvr'd tv shows, and going through my newspaper for ads and coupons. Today I changed it up a bit and decided to visit my favorite place to shop: the thrift store! It wasn't very busy today which was great because it allowed me to go through every single rack without having to cross paths with anyone. Don't you hate when you've developed a rhythm for sorting through clothes but have to stop because somebody has claimed a spot right smack dab in the middle? You have to stop, go around, then come back to that place. It just messes with the efficiency of things. Luckily, I was able to avoid that today.

Here's some of what I was able to pick up today:
Olive Jeggings $2.99, White Dress $2.99 by H&M (brand new w/ tag still attached!), Sheer Navy Blouse by Ann Taylor Loft $3.99, White Top by Old Navy $1.49, Clutch by Kenneth Cole Reaction $3.99

On Clearance

Did some shopping today and found some really great deals! I stopped by a few stores, but found the bulk of today's buys at Ross and Rue21. They both had a really great clearance section, and this made me very very happy!

from Ross:
black top $4.99, jumbo 3" velcro rollers $1.99

from Rue21:
silky gray top $5, cream lace dress $7, sheer cream top $5, hat $2, sunglasses $2, bag $5, elephant necklace $2

SCORE!!

A Little Something

I was out with a friend and decided to pop into Sephora to use a gift card that I was given for my birthday. I picked up a little bottle of Josie Maran Organic Argan Oil Moisturizer that I found in the trial/travel section that they have near the registers. On the box it says that it can be used as a daily moisturizer, to treat split ends, condition cuticles, as a body moisturizer, to soothe rough patches of skin, and as a bath oil. This interested me so I went ahead and got it without really giving it much more thought. I felt a little bad on the way home knowing that I spent $15 on a tiny bottle of something that I have never heard of before, but when I got home I checked Sephora's website and was relieved to find that it was highly rated. Made me feel a little better. Hope it works out for me!

Black Friday

I decided at the last minute to brave the crowds today. BIG mistake. I didn't have anything in particular that I wanted to buy so I ended up just browsing through things that weren't even heavily discounted. All I have to show for today's outing are two pairs of sunglasses, a sweater, and a lace dress. All good bargains but definitely not worth the wait in line.

$2 sunglasses? Sure, why not.
